Projective Psychological Testing
Accessing the deeper subconscious structures of personality and emotion
Book a SessionWhat is Projective Testing?
Projective testing uses open-ended stimuli (like inkblots, pictures, or drawings) to reveal subconscious thoughts, feelings, and personality dynamics that cannot be easily measured by objective questionnaires. At Manasvi, our clinical psychologists are highly trained in administering and interpreting these specialized tools.
Why Projective Testing?
- Accesses subconscious conflicts, defense mechanisms, and emotional needs
- Circumvents conscious bias or social desirability filters
- Provides deep insight into perceptual organization and personality structure
- Highly useful when patients find it difficult to articulate struggles verbally
What to expect
Projective tests are administered in a quiet, one-on-one session. Depending on the test (e.g., describing what you see in inkblots for the Rorschach, or telling stories about pictures for the TAT), the session can take 1.5 to 3 hours. Our clinical psychologists carefully analyze your responses and draft a detailed report.
